How do I book an appointment? What if it is my first time at Green Beauty and I am not sure what I need?
Well, no problem! Simply give Green Beauty at call at 647-348-1119 and our Green Beauty Guest Services Coordinator will walk you through the process and answer any questions you have about your service.
When should I arrive for my appointment?
We suggest arriving at least 10 minutes prior to your appointment time. This will give you the ideal amount of time to enjoy a cappuccino or a cold drink and a home-made macaron from our friends at Butter Avenue, browse the boutique and ensure a comprehensive consultation with our staff.
What if I am running late for my appointment?
We know that life moves pretty fast and we all are tardy from time to time. We will do everything we can to accommodate you, however there is always a chance that we will have to reschedule or shorten your appointment. If you do keep your appointment, the service will end at the originally appointed time so that the next client is not inconvenienced. That’s what you would want, isn’t it? Thanks for understanding.
What if I have to cancel my appointment?
We are understanding at Green Beauty and appreciate that life can sometimes get in the way of, well – life. Please call us with at least 24 hours notice to cancel and reschedule. If you are a no-show, tsk tsk – sadly we will have to charge you for your services.
What is green about Green Beauty anyway?
We do all the stuff at Green Beauty we all ought to be doing. We clean with eco cleaners (baking soda is the best sink cleanser ever); we recycle; we avoid paper towels in exchange for fabric ones; we serve fair trade, organic espresso and offer organic cream and milk, our materials are printed on FSC card stock. Not that we are perfect, but we are trying really hard to be as responsible as possible.
We are also beauty junkies and we want to be as responsible as possible with our product and service offerings as well. However, the performance of the product has to be of the highest quality too. A crappy lipstick whether it is organic or made of petroleum jelly is still a crappy lipstick and no one should buy it.
So what makes your products green? Do you make them?
We seek out the finest brands that meet our standards of performance and responsibility. While we love being local when possible, our products come from all over North America. They are always free of the big nasties: phthalates, parabens, formaldehyde releasing ingredients, petroleum, tricolsan, sodium laureth sulfate, Dibutyl Phthalate (or DBP). I am pregnant, are your services safe for me?
To the best of our knowledge, our products and services are risk free for pregnant and nursing women, however always have a word with your doctor before having any kind of hair colouring or other esthetic service. If they say you are good to go, we will ensure you have a safe and fantastic experience. Donna is a mom too. She gets it.
Yikes – my childcare fell through. Can I bring my little one to my appointment?
Green Beauty enjoys kids – we really do. If you are in a pinch, we certainly don’t mind you bringing your little ones to your services, though we do have some caveats: your child must stay in the treatment room, nail lounge or hair studio with you; please bring activities for your child so that you (and other clients) can enjoy their services. Also please keep in mind that we are on the 2nd and 3rd floor. We will happily help you with your stroller.
Do you do shellac nails or something similar?
First let us say this, the most natural and responsible thing to put on your nails is nothing. However, we at Green Beauty love manicures and appreciate the appeal of the more hardy shellac (and its equivalent) options. So, true to our promise to find the service you are looking for in the most responsible means possible, we do offer Artistic Colour Gloss. One of the things we like about this system is that the lacquer is cured under an LED lamp, as opposed to the damaging UV lamp. It also has a base coat that protects the natural nail to superior results compared to the competitors. It is the brain child of Tom Bachlik, “man”-icurist (groan…that’s their word not ours… ) to the likes of Victoria Beckham, Beyonce and J-Lo. So if you want the results of a gel polish as responsibly as possible – this is the best option.
What methods of payment do your accept?
At Green Beauty we accept VISA, MasterCard, debit and of course cash. When ordering online it is VISA and MasterCard only.
What is your return policy on products?
It is such a drag when the colour is just not what you wanted. We get it. At Green Beauty we will accept returns on any unused and unopened, non-sale item for exchange within 10 days of receipt. Please note that all body care products that have been opened and/or used cannot be returned for health and safety reasons. If you are unsure whether or not your purchase can be returned, please contact us for more information. Your satisfaction with your purchases from Green Beauty is very important to us. Everything is solvable so give us a ring at 647-348-1119 and we will figure it out.
Do you ship to the USA?
We do! We ship throughout Canada and the US. For international orders please email us for special arrangements.
Can I pick up my order?
Absolutely! If you are in the GTA we would love to meet you. You can select “pick up order – no shipping fee” on your online order and come by 3471 Yonge St, Upper Suite to collect your order. In fact, why not book a service for the same time?
When will my online order be shipped?
We try our very, very best to ship orders placed Monday to Friday (excluding holidays) within 48 hours. If for some reason we are unable to ship your order within 48 hours (life gets in our ways sometimes too – hey, we’re all only human) we will notify you by email. Orders placed on Saturday, Sunday or on a holiday will be processed the next business day. Please note that free standard shipping applies to Canadian deliveries only (sorry American friends). Shipping rates are subject to change at any time without notice. And while we are on the subject of shipping: In an effort to reduce, reuse, recycle and be as eco-conscious as possible, we mail out our packages using reused and recycled boxes from our suppliers, etc.
